Chemin de l'Herse matinal
I'd wanted to do a return trip along the Herse early in the day (9am start) but the Herse had not been pisted from the Combe Noire junction (not enough snow depth and too hot apparently).

Col de Marcieu before the storm
The missus said a storm was blowing in at 13h00. Just time to go up to the Col de Marcieu and ski the Chemin de Herse over to St Hilaire.

La Foulée Blanche
A year later I was back in Autrans and this time to ski the Foulée Blanche but with more realistic ambitions - the 20km race.

Tour of Autrans
Without having a good idea of where I was going, I should have grabbed a piste map, I set out across the plane before climbing to Geve then beyond.

Charmant Som
With the fresh snow the conditions on the Charmant Som climb were a lot better than last week.

Out of the wind
With the high winds I didn't fancy touring today so decided on a the Chemin de l'Herse which I'd seen had been bashed overnight (it was covered in fresh snow yesterday).

Emeindras - Eynard
Skate from le Sappey to Emeindras. It is quite a long climb but not too steep. The snow was good, a bit soft outside of the village runs which made climbing hard work at times.

Charmont Som by the road
Skating session from the Col de Porte. The first 1500 meters were hard, old snow, frozen in places but the slope isn't too steep here so not a big problem.
